Why like this?
I am glad you asked. Khmerang.com is like it is because...
- Cambodia is full of surprises
- these surprises are mostly positive
- surprises that are not positive can be fun to read about
- Ara cigarettes and black coffee make your head spin and boost your creativity
- writing a blog helps me to learn English and writing
- the design was done while listening to Children of Bodom
- opportunities to make websites with dark background and light text come rarely
- it combines 2 khmer words - barang and khmer - into a new word describing me as a foreigner who stayed in Cambodia
- I am occasionally available for freelance web design/development work and you might have a gig to offer
- I want to prove that Google adwords can earn you more money in a month than working as a Cambodian policeman
- blogging is less boring than doing dishes or cleaning and cheaper than meeting regularly with a psychologist
- nobody tells me what to write about
- at times I might touch a subject that helps you with your work or makes you smile
- WordPress is simple to install and spice up
- it's annoying that many websites forcefully open links in new windows
- I can advice you to get rid of IE and get Firefox instead
- I happen to be fond of things with heads and bodies: like people, XHTML and guitars
- it's too darn hot outside in the sun
